Privacy notice

Updated October 28, 2026. This notice covers Aperiam Events at aperiamevents.com. Aperiam uses invitation and registration data to administer events, QR passes and check-in, send event communications, and respond to inquiries.

For invited podcast participants, we save your recording reservation, any discussion topic you provide, recording completion status, and related invitation, confirmation and thank-you email activity. Authorized organizers use these records to coordinate the 10-minute conversations with Joe Zappa of Sharp Pen Media. Personal booking links let invitees view, change or cancel their own reservation.

Website analytics and your choice. For visitors identified by our hosting provider as being in the United States, first-party website analytics operates unless you opt out. Use “Opt out of website analytics” at the bottom of any page. We remember this choice for 180 days and disable optional website analytics when Global Privacy Control is enabled. Outside the United States, or when location is unavailable, optional website analytics remains off unless this browser previously provided permission. You can register, RSVP and use event services without analytics.

When website analytics is enabled, the aperiam_visitor cookie lasts up to 90 days and measures visits, sources and campaigns. An RSVP in the same browser may connect these visits to the guest record. Shared browsers mean this association does not prove who visited.

We use information you submit through this site to respond to your request. If you express interest in an invitation or investing, organizers can see the email address and choice you submitted.

When you click a homepage link, register, or submit a request, we may record your IP address and an approximate city, region, and country supplied by our hosting provider. We record the name and email address you enter. The Aperiam.vc link works without either field.

When website analytics is enabled on public pages, we count page visits and record a browser identifier cookie, page, time, referring website domain when supplied, campaign tags in the link, IP address, and approximate location when available. Organizers use this to measure traffic sources such as LinkedIn. Detailed visit records are kept for up to 90 days. An RSVP in the same browser may be linked to visits. Possible IP-based name matches may be displayed to authorized organizers solely for internal performance analysis.

When website analytics is enabled, organizers may compare a visit’s IP address with registration IP addresses to display possible name matches solely for internal event performance analysis. These estimates may be wrong on shared networks or devices and are not verified identities. These inferred names are not included in sponsor-facing click reports. Historical names inferred solely from IP addresses are no longer displayed in organizer click reports or click exports. We no longer send IP addresses to an external service to enrich approximate location. The hosting provider may supply approximate location.

When website analytics is enabled, sponsor logo clicks record the sponsor, time, IP address and approximate location for organizer reporting. Sponsor links work when optional analytics is rejected. Sponsor websites have their own privacy practices.

Featured sponsors receive a private guest registration link for their five invitations. Names, email addresses, and companies entered through that link are saved on the Aperiam guest list and visible to event organizers and the sponsor team using the link. Each guest is emailed a personal invitation to RSVP.

The Advertising Week, CES, and investment buttons submit your contact request through this site. We save the request for organizers and attempt to email the Aperiam team. A click record alone does not confirm that a request was submitted or an email delivered.

Event emails include a small image that lets organizers see when an email is opened and calculate an open rate. An email app may block or preload the image, so an open record is an estimate.

Summit promotional campaigns use a distinct, random recipient code in links and an open image. Organizers can associate code activity with the invited recipient, campaign, destination and timestamp. Forwarding, email privacy preloading and security scanners mean these records do not verify who read or clicked. Known automated clicks are flagged, but some automation may remain. Outgoing links never include your name or email, and the tracking code is not sent to the destination. Optional click recording follows the website analytics choices above. The email preferences link stops future Summit promotional mail and future campaign tracking for that guest; essential event messages are unaffected. Aggregate promotion exports contain campaign and destination totals without guest names, emails or recipient codes. Private recipient reports are available only to authorized organizers.

When optional analytics is enabled, outgoing presenter, company, team and sponsor links record a click ID, website or email source, browser ID, destination, timestamp, user agent, referrer host, IP address and hosting-provider approximate location. Email clicks also associate the campaign and intended recipient. Website clicks can associate a guest only when this browser has already been linked through their registration. We do not infer identity from IP addresses. Detailed reports are private to organizers; shareable summaries omit personal and browser identifiers.

Waitlist requests save your name, email, company, requested sessions and request status. Waitlist requests receive an automatic email confirming their waitlist entry. We store delivery status and provider information to prevent duplicates and retry failures. A private status link shows whether your request is waiting, approved or unable to be accommodated. Organizers manage the attendee limit and approved email exceptions; a waitlist entry does not confirm attendance.

Recipients. Authorized organizers and hosting, storage and email providers process information to operate this site. The sponsor team using a sponsor guest link can see the guest details entered through that link. This site does not automatically send sponsor click reports to sponsors.

Retention and rights. Detailed website visits are removed after 90 days as new visits are recorded or the visitor report runs. Registration, requests, click and email records are retained for event administration, follow-up and legal obligations; these other records do not currently have an automatic deletion schedule. You may request access, correction or deletion, stop marketing, or object to or restrict processing where applicable by contacting us. We may verify your identity and apply legal exceptions. Opting out of website analytics stops future optional collection in this browser; contact us about existing records.

Saved requests and click records are available to Aperiam Events organizers. For questions about your information, email Aperiam Events.
